The most important thing in maintaining body weight is to activate the body’s Metabolic function. If this is maintained in a proper way the body will lose weight automatically.

Reasons for slowing of the Metabolic function:-

Food Habits – 

Overeating may result in belly fat and may result in causing severe damage to the Liver. When the liver is damaged, the Metabolic function will slow down resulting in fat accumulation in the body which in turn causes weight gain. A balanced diet is always the key.

In some cases, people stop eating to lose weight, which will prove even worse. The body will lose essential nutrients. This may result in dangerous diseases. Neither Over eating nor staying on an empty stomach will do any good to one’s health.

Stop eating quickly, it is suggested to chew your food well before you swallow it. Ayurveda recommends chewing food 32 times before you swallow.

Indigestion – 

Fast food, junk food, non-veg. Non-vegetarian food takes several hours to get digested in the body. It said that non-vegetarian food takes around 36 hours to get digested. Indigestion will attract a number of diseases in the body and one among them is unhealthy weight gain. All-purpose flour is another dangerous food that again takes several hours to get digested. Always keep yourselves away from white food i.e. Sugar and All Purpose Flour. Cold Drinks, Bakery products are also a no-no, as they contain Sugar, All Purpose Flour and oil.

Sleep Pattern - Sleep on time and wake up early. Too much sleep and getting up late will also result in indigestion and a disturbed stomach.  Avoid sleeping during the day. Daytime sleep is one of the main reasons for the building up of fat in the body.

Depression – 

Depression is another reason for unhealthy weight gain.

Sometimes it is hereditary.

Accumulation of fat around the belly is the first symptom.

What are the remedies?

100 gms of Coriander Seeds, 100 Gms of Cumin, 100 Gms of Carrrom Seeds, 100 Gms of Dry Ginger Powder, 100 Gms of Black Pepper powder. 100 Gms of Long Pepper Powder. 100 Gms of Rock Salt make grind all of these separately and then mix them together.

Weight Loss Herbs


Have this powder 1 teaspoon each in the morning and at night with a glass of Butter Milk, 15 Mins before food. You can also take half a spoon if your body heat is getting increased as these herbs tend to increase body heat.

If this is practiced religiously for one month you can find the difference.

Make sure you maintain a healthy diet.

Eat a lot of raw vegetables, sprouts and leafy vegetables.

Drink the juice of Ash Gourd on an empty stomach for the first 10 days, Bottle gourd juice for the next 10 days and Gooseberry juice for the next 10.
